Practical and efficient: the new generation of Rotex Solaris collectors

The efficiency of the new generation of Rotex solar collectors has been further improved. Working together with the Solar Technology Testing and Research [SPF] test centre the Rotex' solar specialists developed a collector that has been optimised for maximum heat output. The design of the Solaris collectors has also been revised. They are now 1 cm thinner and thanks to the rounded profile of the frame have a more attractive appearance. The efficiency is further enhanced through the larger surface area of the aperture.

Simple installation
The Solaris collectors score points for an extremely simple assembly system. The assembly rails snap securely into the roof hooks by means of an innovative fixing system and require no additional screw fixing. All that remains to be done is to hang the collectors onto the assembly rails using the hook fixing provided. A clever design ensures that it is practically impossible not to marry the hook fixings on the assembly rails together with the corresponding part on the collectors. Connecting the collectors to the solar system and to each other
is just as quick as it is reliable thanks to a patented quickrelease fastener. This simplifies assembly on the roof and saves labour hours.

The Rotex Solaris collectors are optimised for zero-pressure operation. The new generation of collectors are designed in such a way that they can also be installed as a pressurised system, given that the structural conditions do not permit zeropressure operation. In this case it is necessary to connect an
intermediate heat exchanger so as to store the heat in layers in the storage tank.
