High-water, floods and inundations are an important challenge for the safety of heating oil storage. Even in the event of such a catastrophe, it must be ensured that no heating oil which could contaminate water, floors or the building escapes under any circumstances. Unlike conventional systems where the tanks are fixed to the floor, with ROTEX watersafe the heating oil tanks are equipped to be "intrinsically safe". This means: When the variosafe tanks start to float during a flood, the only connection, the extraction line, is automatically disconnected. In the process, the connections to the tanks and the extraction line are sealed. The tanks can then move freely, it is is impossible for the heating oil to leak at any point. ROTEX watersafe has German technical approval from the DIBT, with approval no. Z-40.21-397. ROTEX watersafe can be used for ROTEX variosafe 600, 750 and 1,000 l. The maximum number per group is limited to 5 tanks.
