Modern heating oil storage

Heating oil is and remains a very important and economical type of energy. The change-over now announced to heating oil which is low in sulphur, the use of condensing oil boilers and the easy combination with solar energy make heating oil an attractive and modern energy source. The current discussion regarding heating oil with biogenic additives, like bio-oil, shows future alternatives for the use of regenerative energy in conjunction with heating oil and therefore an additional potential for primary energy-saving and a reduction in CO2. The ROTEX variosafe safety tanks offer you what you would expect from a modern tank system:

The safety standard in heating oil storage

The variosafe by ROTEX offers double safety through two protection systems which are independent of each other and therefore sets new benchmarks for the future:
  • The interior tank made of seamless blown HDPE corresponds to the general DIBT technical approval. It is a perfect tank with TITEC® against oil odour
  • The corrosion-free collection basin with fire protection is an additional high-quality HDPE tank with extremely high stability

1. The interior tank

The interior tank has been well tried and tested and has the German national technical approval of the DIBT. Owing to the safety attributes of the ROTEX variosafe, structural measures such as oil collection area, additional plastering and oil-resistance paintwork are not required. Even a minimum distance between the tank and the floor is a thing of the past. This, of course, opens up entirely new prospects in room planning.

2. Fire protection and corrosion-free collection basin made of HDPE

Fire protection ensures that the oil-filled area of the interior tank is protected from exposure to flame and therefore an escape of heating oil is prevented. The safety collection basin made of HDPE is manufactured using a blowing process and checked for tightness as in the case of all heating oil storage tanks.
