The safe plastic fitting

The fittings and the distributors are made of heavy-duty plastic. This plastic has already been used in aerospace technology owing to its extreme impact strength, excellent heat retaining resistance and good fire protection behaviour. Corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, dezincification and the erosion of metal ions do not occur when using ROTEX VA® plastic fittings. By using ROTEX VA® plastic fittings, the load on the domestic water through the effects of metal is reduced to a minimum. There is no possibility whatsoever of outer corrosion with concealed laying. The fittings are approved in accordance with DVGW W-534 and are tested with an internal pressure of up to 36 bar and temperatures of up to 120 °C. The sealing of the ROTEX VA® pipe on the fittings is carried out without any O-rings or other additional sealing elements. The high lasting elasticity of the networked PE-X pipe ensures a safe and durable connection.

The ROTEX VA® sliding sleeve

The ROTEX VA® sliding sleeves consist of heavy-duty plastic. This offers maximum safety against fracture or other mechanical loads. Thermal expansion of the pipe, fitting and sliding sleeve are virtually the same. Outer corrosion is effectively prevented by the plastic sleeve.

Convincing advantages

  • Hardly any cross section reductions
  • Safe and lasting sealing without additional sealing elements
  • The sealing of the connection is independent of the profile and degree of wear of the tool
  • High process safety through the symmetrical loading of pipe and fitting
  • Easy, quick and safe assembly
  • Absolutely corrosion-resistant

The modular distributors

The distributor is of paramount importance in an installation system. This is where ROTEX VA® system offers a real solution to problems: The modular ROTEX VA® sliding sleeve distributor. Like the fittings, the distributor is made of heavy-duty plastic. Connections with a diameter of either 16 mm and 20 mm can be optionally combined. The feed line can also be designed as a sliding sleeve connection. This means that screwed connections are no longer required in the entire water distribution system. The plastic distributor, compared to the metal distributors, has considerably better sound and heat insulation properties whilst at the same time the development of metal ions is ruled out.
