ROTEX VA - The outstanding aluminium PE-X compound pipe

A laser-welded aluminium jacket with a high-gloss, silver-grey protection coating surrounds a thick-walled PE-X base pipe. The aluminium is bonded to the base pipe by a highly effective primer. The ROTEX VA® pipe is surrounded on the outside by a high-gloss silver-coloured covering coat which is bonded to the aluminium coat by primer. Its top quality appearance means that the ROTEX VA® compound pipe can also be used in visible areas. The base pipe has  been tested and approved in accordance with DVGW (DIN 1988 T2, DVGW W 544, Registration No. DW-8501BL0524). The required rigidity and resistance is guaranteed by the approved PE-X pipe and is strengthened by the aluminium coating. This also ensures metal (100%) oxygen tightness and very low thermal expansion. The expansion behaviour of ROTEX VA pipes is very similar to that of metal pipes (copper or steel).

The water conducting internal pipe consists of a PE-X base standard pipe. It provides pressure, temperature and corrosion resistance as well as creep strength in accordance with DIN 16892. The butt welded aluminium jacket is used as an oxygen barrier coating which reduces thermal longitudinal expansion and ensures that the pipe keeps its shape. Nevertheless it has to be bent by hand. This combination of metal and plastic and the defined pipe structure of the ROTEX VA® compound pipe produces excellent quality attributes which have positive consequences in practical processing as well as in safety reserves for both processing and the user.

The ROTEX VA pipes can be permanently moulded to the desired shape by hand or by using a bending apparatus. ROTEX VA heating and sanitary pipes are ideal for surface laying in visible areas. The metal stable shape resistance, low thermal expansion and the top quality appearance owing to the silver glossy outer coating set new benchmarks in this area.
